It was built and opened in 1985 and has undergone several renovations since then, with its latest facelift completed in 2014. The mall contains more than 700 shops and eateries including anchors such as NTUC Fairprice, Uniqlo, Old Navy, Marks & Spencer and H&M. There are also many other smaller stores that sell clothes, shoes, electronics items such as mobile phones and laptops. Other amenities at the mall include a food court on level 4 which houses 22 restaurants to choose from including McDonald's and KFC; an indoor playground for children aged 3-12 years old on level 2; a cinema complex on levels 1-3 featuring four screens.
